01Overview

CJC-1295 without DAC, also known as Modified GRF 1-29 (Mod GRF 1-29), is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) — the same active region as sermorelin, with stabilizing modifications for improved durability.

It is the counterpart to CJC-1295 with DAC: where the DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) version binds albumin to stretch its half-life to roughly 6–8 days, the no-DAC form clears quickly, which is exactly why it is favored for pulsatile GH research.

  • Binds GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs, triggering cAMP/PKA-mediated growth-hormone synthesis and release.
  • Its short half-life (~30 minutes to 2 hours) drives pulsatile GH release rather than a sustained elevation.
  • By preserving natural pulsatility, it carries a lower risk of receptor desensitization than long-acting alternatives.
