How it works

Reconstitution is just dilution. The concentration is the peptide mass divided by the water you add, and the volume to draw is your dose divided by that concentration.

Step 1 · Peptide in vial

Enter the labeled peptide mass in the vial, in milligrams (e.g. a 5 mg vial).

Step 2 · Water added

Enter how much bacteriostatic water you reconstitute with. More water means a more dilute solution and more units to draw for the same dose.

Step 3 · Desired dose

Enter the dose and pick mcg or mg. The calculator converts to a draw volume and to units on a U-100 insulin syringe, where 100 units = 1 mL.

Step 4 · Read the syringe

The meter fills to the number of units to draw. If it exceeds your syringe, add more water, choose a larger syringe, or split the dose.
